The increase of the lice causes an infection and there is some treatment to cure the lice and the infected areas. The proper way to cure the lice is to get the proper advice from the doctors. The common medicine that is used for lice treatments is

ivermectin: these medications are in lotion type and are used to kill the lice with single-use and kill the nits. Even children with more than six months can use it directly in the head and scalp.

Ovide: This medicine is made up of a drug called malathion and it is used for children above the age of six years the medicine is used to kill the lice and their eggs.

Natroba: This medicine is used to kill lice and eggs with a single use and this can be advised to use the children more than six years

Permethrin lotion: these are lotion shampoos that can be applied to children at age of above two months.

Side effects of treatments

By taking the powerful medicine to reduce the lice for some people it may cause side effects. They are

  • Skin irritation or redness
  • Skin infections
  • Sneezing often
  • Difficulty in breathing
