NINE REASONS TO VISIT YOUR CHIROPRACTOR

When you strain your neck or back, your first thought is probably to call your chiropractor. The majority of our patients come to the office for this reason. However, it has always fascinated me that most new patients are surprised to learn how their spinal health can affect their overall health. You may have a health condition that can be alleviated with proper chiropractic care.

The following are nine common reasons why it is time to see your chiropractor besides neck and back pain.

1. Your range of motion is restricted.

If you’re having difficulty doing simple tasks like putting on your shoes, pulling across your seatbelt, or picking up a laundry basket, it’s time to see a chiropractor. We can do therapies and treatments to get you back to enjoying everyday life, whether it’s muscle-related or spinal-related!

2. You have frequent headaches.

I used to suffer from severe migraines when I was younger. All I knew was that I had to take the medication that my doctor had prescribed for me. I didn’t realise my headaches could be treated naturally until I started working at a chiropractic office. I discovered that neck problems could cause headaches and migraines. After a few treatments, I felt like a completely different person. Looking back, I realise that experience sparked my interest in chiropractic care.

3. You suffer from chronic joint or muscle pain.

Many of my patients have knee, ankle, hand, or other joint pain that can benefit from chiropractic care. If you’ve pulled a muscle, I can also provide muscle therapy. In addition, many athletes and active patients benefit from regular visits to maintain the health of their joints and muscles.

4. You are recovering from a recent car accident.

Chiropractic care can help your body heal after any traumatic accident, whether it’s a fall down the stairs, a snowmobile flip, or a car accident. However, even minor accidents can cause complications up to two years later.

5. You’re suffering from sinus congestion.

Most patients are unaware that chiropractic care can help with sinus congestion and infection pain relief. Upper cervical adjustments, for example, can help relieve tension in your brain stem. This adjustment relaxes your throat, allowing the sinus passages in your head to drain more effectively. In addition, I have a sinus protocol that I use to help the sinuses drain even further.

6. You’re having trouble getting pregnant.

Chiropractic care is a natural and safe way for women to improve the way their bodies function and perform. Treatments and adjustments help to keep the spine aligned and the nervous system free of interference. The lumbar nerves are responsible for bowel, bladder, and sexual function. It has been demonstrated that removing interference in this area increases fertility.

7. You are experiencing numbness and tingling in your arms or legs.

Numbness or tingling in your arms, fingers, legs or feet can be caused by a nerve injury or pressure on the spine. Sitting in the same seat or standing in the same position for an extended period can cause these symptoms. We take numbness and tingling very seriously because they can be symptoms of a more serious illness.

8. You work in a sedentary occupation.

If you work at a desk or in an office, you most likely spend your day hunched over a computer. Despite efforts to improve your posture, the pressure placed on your spine by sitting all day can cause degeneration and alignment issues. Chiropractic care, particularly as part of a preventative maintenance plan, can help slow down and improve the side effects of sitting all day.

9. You recently suffered whiplash.

We use various chiropractic techniques to treat whiplash symptoms, including manipulation, muscle relaxation, muscle stimulation, and various exercises. Furthermore, ergonomic and lifestyle changes can hasten your recovery from whiplash.

Each patient has a unique story and reason for visiting our office. Our mission is to treat each patient as an individual, developing a treatment plan appropriate for their health and desired outcomes.
