I spoke to someone I have never met in person a few weeks ago to help her with lifting and nutrition. It hit me square in the face when she said "But what exercises should I do to look like you?" At what point did things change? I have always seen myself as a work in progress and now I've become someone's end goal.

And it's not right. You know why? The pictures I post on IG are all posed or flexed or have a filter on them or are taken when I'm feeling "lean." - AKA the picture on the left after a great glute day.

Few of these pictures show me as I am imperfectly. I don't walk around with my butt pushed out and my shoulders angled and abs in. Heck no!

Hearing this made me realize I needed to show what I look like normally. Like on the right, with off season & fluff in full swing, sweaty after the gym, not flexed or posed, and a bully full of protein pancakes and a liter of water.

I absolutely keep it 100% genuine with both this account and my blog. I mean every word. But please don't fall into the trap of believing that all the people you see on IG - including myself! - walk around like that!

Especially pics from photo shoots or competition. Those photos are BEAUTIFUL and they should be so proud of themselves. But you should keep in mind that those photos are not everyday life. They are peaked for a photo shoot - or in my case, posed to my best angle.

I love seeing my gym pics because they help me with my progress. But most of the time I look like the girl on the right - unflexed, sweaty, full, no hamstring dip or broad shoulders.

I am imperfect and I am completely at ease with that. We are all only human. We will never be perfect, but we can be authentic. We can be genuine. We can strive to be our best selves and be totally accepting of just that.

• 5 ounce chicken breast •
• 1/2 cup canned peas and carrots •
• 1 egg •
• Soy sauce •
• 1 tbsp sesame oil •
• salt and pepper •

I chop and pan fry the chicken, add in veggies, then after mixing the egg I mix in with chicken and veggies. Add rice and soy and sesame. Mix together until saturated. 👌🏻 Enjoy!
